GoPro Comparison

We get the question a lot - What's the difference between the various GoPro cameras on offer?

The best way to explain it is by positioning the GoPro Hero 3 White Edition as your entry level GoPro camera, the Hero 3+ Silver as the middleweight and the Hero 3+ Black as the top of the range.

The GoPro Hero 3+ Black

The Hero 3 + Black Edition is the full featured camera of the range. It shoots up to an incredible 4K video resolution with an added wider frame feature called Live View. Alongside 4k, a full high definition resolution setting (1080p) at 60 frames per second (FPS) is also made available. Still images are captured at 12MP and feature 3 photo shooting modes including PhotoBurst, Time-lapse and Continuous.  Our Action Gear special includes Hero 3 + Black Edition camera plus 32GB Class SanDisk MicroSD card at a special price of R5995. It's also important to note that no other camera on the market can achieve the following frame rates:

  • 4K @15fps,
  • 2K @ 30fps,
  • 1080p @ 60fps,
  • 960p @ 100fps,
  • 720 @ 120fps

Not only does the Hero 3+ Black have the most advanced processor, it also comes with a WIFI remote valued at R1199.
