Adventure racing has fast become an incredibly popular experience and the Warrior Race is the most popular event around South Africa. If you've already completed one of these then you'll know what to expect, for those of you who are heading out for their first event - get ready to get extremely muddy while having an absolute blast with your team mates!
At previous races we've seen a good number of people taking on the race with a GoPro attached to their head and we're sure that they would have got the most awesome shots of themselves and their mates while taking on the mud monster, climbing through tree top canopies or jumping off high up decks into flowing rivers! If you're keen to take an action camera along with you then get one before from us or pick one up at the event from our event crew who'll be there on the day.
The venue for Race #4 is Redstone Private Country Estate, R512, Oberon Road, Broederstroom, Hartbeespoort Dam 0240
Post event review:
Action Gear spent the weekend at the Redstone Estate, near the Hartebeespoort Dam, with all the brave, or should that be crazy, souls taking part in the Warrior # 4 - Redstone race.
Starting in near freezing temperatures, competitors set off on one of the two category races, the 6,5 km Rookie or the 18km Black Ops race. With thirty obstacles including the Tower of Rage, the Avalanche, the Net and Mud Monster and the, now infamous Arctic Mud, on the course, the Warrior is certainly not for the timid.
Congratulations to everyone who finished the race and good luck to all of you taking part in Warrior # 5 - Ballito in August.
