Suunto introduces today a new member to the Ambit3 Connected family – the Suunto Ambit3
Vertical multisport GPS watch. The new variant provides a solution for sports where planning and
tracking elevation is essential to training and competing such as running, cycling and skiing.
The Ambit3 Vertical combines a new lightweight construction with built-in barometric pressure,
route altitude profile, vibration alerts and versatile multisport functions for running, cycling and
swimming with up to 100 hours of battery life. Like all Ambit3 GPS watches, the Ambit3 Vertical
tracks your speed and distance, in addition to effort and recovery when used together with the
Suunto Smart Sensor heart rate belt.
Plan your workouts and track your ascent with ease
You can follow the altitude profile of your route directly from the watch with real-time ascent gain
and remaining ascent. A summary of your ascents provides daily totals over 7 days, 30 days and a full
year. In addition, you can check your all-time totals to keep yourself motivated.
Plan your workouts on the go with Suunto Movescount App and use the watch vibration alerts to
help guide you. Route planner in Suunto Movescount is enhanced with topographic maps and
altitude information. With the App, you can also customize your watch settings and share your
Moves while on the go as well as receive call and text notifications on the watch.
When training on hilly terrain, power gives consistent and reliable information of your effort and
how tough the course is. Pacing yourself using running power is now possible with an optional Stryd
Running Powermeter. Along with the Ambit3 Vertical, Stryd Powermeter compatibility is made
available for all Suunto Ambit3 watches.
Designed to perform
The new antenna construction of the Ambit3 Vertical allows a streamlined design and comfortable
fit on all wrists. The composite case is lightweight, while the stainless steel bezel helps protect the
watch glass. Water resistant to 100 m (300 ft), Suunto Ambit3 Vertical is designed, tested and built
in Finland. Choose your favorite color from four sporty alternatives: blue, lime, white and black.
The Suunto Ambit3 Vertical is available from January 14th (in Europe from February 2nd).
