Shipping & Returns
Here at Action Gear, we strive to get every product delivered quickly and in 100% good condition. Over the past few years we have developed a system that works efficiently and that allows both us and our clients the ability to track each step of the process. We currently have a 98% on-time delivery success rate.
Collecting your parcel:
If you have selected to collect your order instead of having it delivered, you are able to collect your parcel from our office address listed on our contact page. Please take note of the following when doing so:
- What should I bring when collecting my parcel? Please have your order number ready and bring your ID along.
- When can I collect my parcel? Please note that your order needs to be completed before collection can take place. You'll need to wait for our confirmation that the order is ready for collection :)
- What are the collection times? Collections only take place from Mon - Fri as per the working hours specified on our contact page.

How does delivery work?
As soon as an order is confirmed we begin the process of pulling, packing and dispatching the product. Depending on the time the order is placed with us by a customer, parcels leave either on the same day or the very next day. A confirmation email with a tracking number is then sent to each customer. The number can be used to track the parcel at any time within the delivery process.
Where do we deliver?
We deliver countrywide throughout South Africa! From major cities to the smallest of rural locations, Action Gear has you covered. If you have a parcel you would like delivered to an international location, we will make every effort to get it to you.
When can you expect your order?
*The below time frames are our average delivery times. If you have an urgent order please contact us and we'll do all that we can to deliver that same day or overnight where possible.
If you have placed your order before 2pm, we will pack your order and dispatch within the same day. The parcels will then arrive at your chosen location within 3 working days.
If you have placed your order after 2pm, we will pack your order and dispatch the next afternoon. You can then expect your order 3 working days thereafter.
Regional Areas(locations outside of major cities and metropolises)
If you have placed your order before 2pm, we will pack your order and dispatch the within the same day. The parcel will then arrive at your chosen location within 5 working days.
If you have placed your order after 2pm, we will pack your order and dispatch the next day. The parcel will then arrive at your chosen location within 5 working days thereafter.
Remote Areas(areas located in an isolated location, far from major cities or towns)
Couriers tend to visit remote areas on particular days of the week so once your order is confirmed we'll dispatch and it can take anywhere between 3-7 working days.
Can I request SAME DAY DELIVERY?
Yes, for JHB and PTA deliveries but this depends on a lot of factors. Please contact us before 9:30am to ask if we can deliver the same day to you.
Which courier service do we use?
We make use of MDS Collivery Couriers, The Courier Guy, BEX and Dawn Wing. Our system works out the best courier for your area.
How much do you charge for delivery?
- We offer FREE Delivery for all orders over R999.
- For orders below R999 we charge a R79 additional delivery fee.
Do you deliver to the Post Office?
No. Due to the unpredictable nature of the South African Postal Service, we only deliver to street addresses and we choose only to use couriers. Because of this someone will need to be at the delivery address to sign for the parcel upon delivery. If no one is available the courier will come back either later that day or the following day.
Do you deliver to P.O. Boxes?
No. All delivered parcels need to be signed for to ensure they arrive at the desired location safely. If you don't have a home or work address where someone can sign for a parcel then we suggest sending it to the address of a friends office, business or to the home address of a friend or family.
What happens if I listed the wrong address or want to change the address?
If your order was placed the same day, contact us and supply us with the correct/new address and we will change it for you. If the order was placed more than 1 day prior to your request, unfortunately you will be charged an additional delivery fee.
Will the parcel be safe?
Yes. Each product is packed within a suitably sized box with protective bubble wrap for extra protection. The parcel is then sealed with our branded Action Gear security tape. Our couriers take great care when handling parcels and ensure fragile parcels are kept away from heavy, bulky ones.
We believe that you will be 100% satisfied with your product, but occasionally you may need to return an item. You can cancel your order and return it to us within 30 days of the purchase date if it is in its original condition, completely unused, and suitable for resale. You will be responsible for the item or items until they reach us, and we suggest that you use a secure delivery method (which requires a signature upon delivery).
Refunds are made within a week of an order being cancelled and the goods having been returned to us along with the original receipt.
In the case of faulty goods we guarantee all items for a period of 12 months from the purchase date. Our warranty covers all manufacturing defects and does not cover faults arising from poor/improper use. Goods found to be faulty can only be exchanged for the same product and cannot be refunded.
In the case of a refund 100% will be refunded for orders made by EFT and but it may be the case that only 95% will be refunded for orders paid by credit card (due to the banks 5% merchant fee).
As for normal returns, you must contact us by email or phone before returning any goods, so we can give you a specific returns number.
